Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sentinel Ventures (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit our website or apply to work with us. We are committed to processing data lawfully, fairly, and transparently under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local law.

1. Who we are

Sentinel Ventures is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

Registered address: Barcelona, Spain.

For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at founders@sentinel.vc.

2. What data we collect

Analytics data: when you consent to analytics cookies, we record page views along with limited technical metadata — the page path, your language/locale preference, an approximate location (country and region derived from your IP address at the network edge), your device type and browser family, and an anonymous, per-session identifier. We do not store your IP address and this data cannot be used to identify you.
Application data: if you submit the “Investor Ready” intake form, we collect the details you provide — your name, email, company name, website, sector, country, stage, amounts, a description of your company, and any pitch deck you upload.
Communications: if you email us, we retain the contents of that correspondence.

3. How and why we use it (legal basis)

Analytics — to understand how the website is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Applications — to review your submission and, where relevant, contact you about working together. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in evaluating opportunities (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Security and operation of the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and available.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies. Strictly necessary cookies (including the cookie that stores your consent choice and, for administrators, authentication cookies) do not require consent. Analytics cookies are only set after you opt in.

See our Cookie Policy for the full list and details.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process data on our behalf under contract:

Supabase (database and authentication) — stores analytics events and applications.
Vercel (hosting and content delivery) — serves the website and provides the approximate country/region signal.

These providers may process data outside the EEA; where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained in aggregate for as long as it is useful for understanding site trends and is not tied to an identifiable person. Application data is retained for as long as needed to evaluate and follow up on your submission, and then archived or deleted in line with our records policy. You may ask us to delete your application data at any time.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any right, contact founders@sentinel.vc. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
